Chronic Pain: Sustainable Relief Without Burnout
Living with pain changes everything, from how you sit to how you sleep and show up in the world. At Intuitive Bodywork TN, we blend precision bodywork with a tailored, nervous‑system‑aware approach so relief actually holds. We move purposefully at the speed of safety, adjusting as your body opens for maximum results.
How We Help
Chronic patterns often show up as guarded muscles, trigger points, limited range of motion, and overworked compensations. Our signature MyoZen Trigger Release focuses on the true drivers of your pain while calming protective reflexes. When appropriate, we layer in Deep Tissue, Hot Stone Massage, Cupping, and Reiki to support circulation, mobility, and recovery.
Your Care Plan Recommendation
1. RESET
Map primary drivers and release key trigger points with 4 visits in 4-6 weeks of 60- or 90-minute MyoZen sessions. Support calm between sessions. Expect progressive relief with each visit.
2. PROGRESS
Weekly or bi-weekly, continue MyoZen but start alternating a deep tissue/Swedish blend. Ensure pressure is calibrated so you avoid bracing. Add a cupping upgrade for adhesions as needed. Optionally, add Reiki to lower baseline tension.
3. MAINTENANCE
Every 3-6 weeks, continue with rotating the services that are helping to keep mobility, prevent flare ups. Schedule extra tune ups around busy work seasons, travel, or strength training.
4. DEEPEN
Once you're reset and have found a flow, deepen your relief with Reflexology for systemic ease and regular Reiki sessions to lower baseline tension and stress that fuels pain cycles. Add in gentle lymphatic massage anytime there's swelling.
Simple, At-Home Care Recommendations
Simple, steady practices:
Hydrate regularly.
2–3 short micro‑movement breaks daily (neck rolls, shoulder clocks, hip CARs)
Heat or cold as tolerated for 10–15 min (listen to your body’s preference)
Breath reset: 4‑second inhale, 6‑ to 8‑second exhale for 2 minutes
Ergonomics: stack screen to eye level; feet supported; soft jaw
Recovery rituals: magnesium bath or topical balm or spray, hydration, gentle walks
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this hurt?
Therapeutic shouldn’t mean intolerable. We work below your bracing threshold so your body can release instead of guard. You control pressure.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people notice improvement within the first 1–3 sessions. Sustainable change usually builds over a 4‑session series plus maintenance.
MyoZen vs. Deep Tissue—what’s the difference?
MyoZen is highly targeted trigger release aimed at root drivers. Deep Tissue/Swedish addresses broader layers and flow; we often combine them.
Can cupping help chronic pain?
Often, yes—especially for adhesions and stubborn tightness. We’ll avoid areas with active bruising, skin issues, or if it doesn’t suit you.
What if I flare after a session?
Mild soreness can happen. We plan pacing to minimize this and give you a simple post‑care plan above (hydration, breath, heat/cold, light movement).
Can I combine this with PT, chiro, or acupuncture?
Absolutely. Many clients do. We’re happy to coordinate cadence so therapies complement each other.
